Well, it’s about time to set a few resolutions:

1. I will finally have a life other than school, and will begin my artistic pursuit outside school assignments (It’s about time right D:)

2. I will exercise (hahaha I say that every year) at the very least once a week, even during exam periods. By exercise, my options include jogging, cycling, swimming, and gymming with Mr. Macho yes? Bringing me to point number 3…

3. This year, I will stay below 55 kg. I MUST!

4. I will sit up straighter. No more slouching (if you see my slouching, tell me!)

5. I will finally kickstart the mini business venture with the handful of friends who have agreed to help out. Yes!

6. Last year I’ve learnt to knit and i’ve sewn pouches and bags, this year I will learn how to crochet, embroider, and sew bigger projects, like dresses or tops.

7. I will work hard and earn myself the opportunity for the scholarship interview again.

8. I will make more quality time for Mr. Dz and instead of us bumming around watching youtube videos and eating junk food, we’ll do cooler stuff =]

I’ll stop at 8 because its my favourite number and everyone knows the last two resolutions never happen, year after year.

28 days without my room is going to kill me. I miss my sewing machine, my quiet time to myself, making things, building things, drawing things. I feel so ill-equipped here! Plus, the craft store here is like a friggin’ museum. I can’t really do much. Plus, we’re at home most of the time, cause it’s too cold to do alot here. And it’s not advisable for a Singaporean Lady to sit out in the cold trying to sketch her surroundings.

sigh.

Though I must say, the temperature has increased to 4 degrees celsius, so it doesn’t seem so bad after all.

Oh, who am I kidding. I’m going mad.

They say that blood is thicker than water.

They’re so full of shit.

Don’t get me wrong. I love Europe, I love Holland, I love Den Bosch, and I love (some aspects of) winter. But I love my friends, and Singapore too. And I’m slowly beginning to understand that this holiday is not something that 4 people want to do together: 2 people want to spend time together, but 1 of the 2 is unwilling to leave the country without the other 2. Therefore, the other 2 had to come.

It amazes me how much I still have to prove myself to you. Because even though I’ve earned my own money honestly, studied hard, gotten good grades and stayed out of trouble, missing my boyfriend from 10,000 km away makes me that much less mature. Well, I’m sorry not everyone can live halfway across the world from their boyfriends and see them three times a year.

Summers come and summer has gone,

It’s not something a person can control, and it’s (sadly) not something a person can understand. It’s a difficult place to be in, and it’s not somewhere I want to be. Unfortunately, I find myself in places like this too many times, hurting too many people around me. But nobody can control it, nobody can understand it. People get angry, upset, disappointed and disheartened. Every day, every time. But what can I do? I am broken. I am uncertain. I am petrified. I cannot bring myself to overcome this, and still I am somehow addicted to this feeling. The feeling of being scared, unsure, hurt and alone, all at once, and thus altogether overwhelmed.

And I can’t help but emphasize: It’s not something a person like me can control.

Today was particularly difficult to wake up to. It felt like there was something holding me back, holding me down. Somehow freedom doesn’t feel like freedom, and it feels like I’m still holding onto something I don’t need.

Maybe I’ll go back to bed in the afternoon. It’s a particularly warm day (compared to the recent rainy ones) and warm weather maketh me sleepeth.

Spent the day cleaning my room a bit (My Year 2 Semester 1 folder is officially sealed) and sewed three pretty hairbands for myself. One denim, one yellow polka-felt, and one red and stripy braid. So happy =D

Amongst other things I plan to do during the holidays:

-Work, and subsequently:
-Buy my much-needed back brace from Watsons
-Learn how to sew a dress or skirt of some sort
-Tidy up and ZNG my room so it’s more conducive to sleep/work/relax in!
-Start thinking of something for the Reverie Sculpture Competition (proves to be a difficult one)
-BAKE!
-SHOP! Year End Sales are niceeee
-Go to the ah pek market and pick up a few things for fun (maybe I can even get my competition materials from there)
-sleeeeeeeeeeeeep. Haven’t put back the hours lost yet D:

That seems to be all for now, but it seems like alot, since I’ve only got till 12 Dec to complete them all (going to Holland for Christmas this year! =D)

I have yet to compile my proper christmas wishlist (previously posted Snow Patrol list is now inaccurate, since I ran out to buy 2 albums myself already)

But for now, it seems like the usual: Clothes, cookie tins or any other cool thingamajig works for me =]
